Durability Testing

The design is done. The product looks great. The functional tests prove the concept. But, will the product last?

This is a durability test created to test the product against life requirements of the specification. A pair of first cut prototypes were tested for durability. They ran 11,000,000 and 10,500,000 cycles respectively, and did not wear out. However, they far out lasted the testing machine, which had to be repaired repeatedly along the way.
